Andre Schikolenko of Y108 features new tracks from Revolver's new release "THE NEW BLOOD ROCK SHOW" plus an interview with Nick and Laurie-Anne, learn about the making and much more.
2008-05-08 Former Slik Toxik vocalist Nick Walsh’s latest project Revolver unleashes this live DVD showcasing the new songs, the old songs as well as a couple old ST tracks. Captured live Nick and the latest Revolver line-up bolt through the songs with heartfelt emotion. This early in their career it may seem strange to some that they are releasing a live product already. As Nick states in the Bonus Features that it worked for Kiss back in the 70’s with ALIVE so why not for Revolver in the new millennium? An interesting way to look at it and when you think about it…why wouldn’t it? Clocking in at just over an hour the show filmed last October in Toronto, Ont captures Nick and company at their best. The live setting is where the band can really shine and let loose the energy. From watching this club show you feel as though you are almost there. Right from the amazing “Atomic Arcade” to “Nosebleed” this is one nonstop, full on metal assault. Nick is back, refreshed and ready to rock and kick some ass again. Hearing him belt out the old ST tune “Helluvatime” was great. Its one of the many old songs that held up the test of time and fits like a glove next to the newer songs. The new songs released here for the first time showcase the amazing talent that is currently in the band at the moment. These new songs are sure fire hits. Any and all Metal and Hard Rock fans should own this release as it’s one of the most energetic and real releases of the year so far.

While we wish our brothers Gene and Sheldon the best in their new endeavours, we are pumped with the idea of some fresh new talent to grace the Revølver band. The chemistry with these players is unbelievable as it sounds as though we've been playing together for years. You can catch the launch of the new band and our North American summer commencing on Thursday June 21st in Toronto at the Reverb.
2007-02-13 First and foremost we would like to thank you all for sticking around and being so patient as we have been in the studio for the last few months recording what we feel is the truest, rawest, edgy and most melodic music we have done to date. We have now finished recording 12 songs, 1 which will be a bonus track on the recently signed upcoming release for 'Turbulence' in Japan. The song is an older unreleased song entitled 'Heaven Won't Wait' which will not be made available anywhere else at press time, so if you are a diehard this will be a definite collectors item. The other 11 songs are currently going to be used to secure deals for the U.S. and other worldly territories. As there is no release date yet assigned to this material, we will be letting you the fans have some tastes of the material over the next couple of weeks. Also in the news Revølver has hooked up with new management out of the great state of TEXAS, with Omni Entertainment. It seems that for some reason, over the last 20 or 30 years Canadian rock bands and Texans really seem to have a connection with each other, so with that said we are really looking forward to all of the great things that are yet to come with this new teamship. We will also be gearing up over the next couple of months to finally come out of hiding and bring it to ya live. We will be doing some regional dates as well as some International shows starting in May. Until then, thanks ya'll for supportin' our asses, and keep them horns up in the air!!
Cheers.
2006-10-18 As Promised we Revølver, are giving you a first listen of some of the new material we hope to grace our sophomore CD. We will be putting these up for very limited durations as we do not want something new to get old fast, You dig? We just want to TEASE YOU!! We look forward to your responses, as we feel that this is some of our strongest material to date. Anyhow, take a listen and enjoy! Nick Walsh
Bruno was a person that everyone loved, trusted and had a great outlook on life. He was a guy that people respected and would look forward to being in his presence. As a great friend of the band, Bruno was also able to capture the sound of Revølver making the live shows sing like no other, not only did his personality and spirit shine he was also one of the music industry's most sought after Sound Technician's. We will miss Bruno and he'll be in our hearts forever and each time we play a note we hope that he will hear us and know that we're thinking of him.
Sean and Nick both have agreed that this would be the best thing for both bands, as each wish both bands well, but also know that they will always find time to work with each other throughout their musical careers. The camaraderie these two share runs deep. You can find Nick lending his vocal talents on the American release of Crash Kelly's new album 'Electric Satisfaction' on a duet of the classic Alice Cooper track 'Cold Ethyl'. Revølver would like to welcome new guitarist Tyson Emanuel to the family. As our Bio states finding guitarists for this project has been no easy task, and finding Tyson was nothing short of fate. We met with and auditioned multiple players until an ad placed on a message board that both Tyson and Revølver had never been on before was answered. After meeting Tyson and playing with him for the first time Nick new that if anyone was going to fill the shoes of Sean this guy was it. ' I just knew that with his talents he would be a shoe in, but it wasn't until we hung out and realized that three hours had past from just chatting that he was the guy. Tyson comes from the heavier progressive side of metal, and brings an abundance of new energy to the group that has now been witnessed at their support slot for legendary band 'Molly Hatchet'.
Revølver Plays "ROUND AND ROUND"
Revølver contributes song to Tribute CD for the BOSS! The song we recorded was an updated version of 'Tunnel Of Love' which we are very excited about and are considering for our upcoming CD. Stay tuned as we're hoping to give you a sneak peak of this classic cover.

Revølver is pleased to announce the beginning of a new relationship with German label 'DRAKKAR Records' who will be releasing 'TURBULENCE', the first of many for all of EUROPE including the U.K.! The story of DRAKKAR began in 1986 when Bogdan Kopec, a.k.a. Boggi, decided to rechristen his company (founded in 1981 and originally called Kopec Music Publishing) to Drakkar Promotion. The first bands to be signed by DRAKKAR were Kreator, Rage and Risk. News of DRAKKAR’s professional approach soon made the rounds in musicians’ circles, and before long groups like Coroner, Raven, Running Wild, Sodom and many more, these days considered true icons of German metal music, followed. Subsequently, DRAKKAR pioneered in inviting bands like Sepultura and Biohazard to Europe for the first time and arranging for them to play as openers for Sodom or Kreator, while at the same time booking acts like Death, Gamma Ray, Helloween, U.D.O., Savatage and Voivod, to name but a few. In 1992, Kopec signed a joint venture deal with Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG). "DRAKKAR Promotion", a relatively small company, became "DRAKKAR Promotion Musikverlag GmbH", while the "G.U.N. Records GmbH" label was founded simultaneously. Since Kopec found that it was impossible to be in charge of two companies on his own, he brought in his old friend Wolfgang “Wolle” Funk form EMI as his business partner and managing director of "G.U.N. Records GmbH". Revølver would like to thank Silke Yli-Sirniö, Bogdan "Boggi" Kopec and everyone at DRAKKAR Records; Wolfgang Deubzer and Daniel Böhm for the months of work involved to finalize this deal. Release and tour dates to follow.

StonerRockchick.com live review "...Right off the bat Nick starts out with some stage banter, right off the bat Nick starts acting, looking and singing as if time has not moved since the early 90's. I don't mean the music, I mean the attitude, the stage presence, the absolute look and feel that here was a rock star, and it was okay to be hot again and a rock star. The songs forth coming from the band were dymanic, loaded with rock and roll attitude, steeped just right in today and just right in yesterday."
